Few Quick Questions

Ok I have a 98 Eclipse GS..

1. What do I need to paint my fog lamp covers white to match my car like some of you guys have done because mines are black and I want to paint em white to match the color of my car.

2. My antenna is up and it wont go down. When I shut the car off you can just hear the motor making noises like its tryna make it go down. I want it to go down, and then d/c it so it never comes up again. I read on this forum someone said u can d/c it by simply d/c a white harness but i cant seem to see it from the lil cover on the lower left corner of my trunk. Important thing is to make it go down. Help! I dont wanna go to a mechanic and pay for this.

3. How do you make halo / angel eyes for the front projector lights?

4. My stock front bumper is really banged up. I have another stock bumper but its dark green and my eclipse is white. What kinda tools/paint would I need to get it painted to match the color of my car. I dont want to pay a autoshop to just re-color a front bumper for me.

1. Sand paper, Primer and paint!
2. Don't have a clue but good luck!
3. You don't make halo's or angel eyes you buy the new headlights with them in there.
4. If you have never painted anything and it kinda sounds like you haven't so just pay a shop to do it, or you can just sell me the front bumper and touch up the one that is already on your car.

I saw something on this a few months ago, but i dont remember the exact process. I think you can take a clear plastic bendable cable, and an LED. Wire the LED and point it right into the end of the cable. Wrap the cable around the projector, and see how it looks. I've seen people make little notches in the cable to give it a different look, its kinda cool. Try a search for making angel eyes or making Halo or something

Like sic95 said.. sounds like you have very little experience with body work. I'd highly recomend taking it to a shop and having them do it, it shouldn't cost more than $150 or so.

BTW: I live in Cali and I heard of lots of people getting tickets because of their blue bulbs in their headlamp...

PIAA has blue bulbs and theirs are SAE and DOT approved, is there a good chance i will still get a ticket?

Also...
If I get PIAA white beams and make my angel eyes blue, will i still get a ticket because of the angel eyes are blue? I know the white beams are legal, but the blue halo's?

ok for the foglamp covers....so far...

i sanded em, and primed it

so after i prime it, do i sand again? or do i just paint it and clear coat it w/out sanding again

if you're riding around with blue neons on then why not ??? .. if its already illegal, make it MORE illegal :laugh:

yea i know underbody neons are illegal if theyre on when im driving. i meant for show because i plan to turn my car into a show car

u could lightlz sand em with a 1600 wet now if u want to make it smooth,or a 600 grit sanding pad(kind of sanding sponge)
