fell in transmission hole

well i was tapping my transmission hole on my 1g transmission and the damn thing fell all the way through when i was rethreading..... how do i get it back out! my question is what if i leave it in there? where does that hole lead to? please give me some input

the one by the axle and firewall the only one with threads i believe. well it fell in there completely im about to go buy another tranny.

Try a flexible long handle magnet, or one of those skinny flexible grabber tools.

If it fell "into" the transmission it has to come out. What goes in the hole you were tapping?

i tried one of those grabbers but could not get it. and a bolt goes in that hole, i tried taking the bellhousing apart. snapped a bolt inside the bellhousing! so now im buying a new one. im done with it thanks for the help though.

I had the speed sensor bolt fall into the speed sensor hole last year when I took my tranny out. I couldn't even see it, it fell down that far. I used a magnet to get it out. Scariest moment of my life right there.
