what are your plans for the car?
stock daily driver, or weekend warrior with high boost?
i would assume felpro hg would be alright for the first application, second one though and your taking your chances.

it just have to get me back and fourth to work. i cant run high boost. because b4 the engine swap i had 87 octane in it so it pings at hi rpms.
my boost guage shot up over 24 psi earlier today and then the car overheated so im guessing thatswhy my head gasket blew. i couldnt get my mbc to work in the past 2 days and it finally did and it was set too high.

dont automatically assume your hg is blown, theres been some stories of people assuming there hg is gone, pulling the head etc, and realzing it wasnt all that bad.
and the problem comes back. do a compression test.

felpro gaskets are great on stock powered cars.

What about for lower stress areas of the engine? I'm looking at redoing the valve cover, spark plug, half moon, and oil pan gaskets and the felpro's are quite cost effective. Would they be alright for these uses?

i went to the mitsu parts dept. to see if they could get me a "steel" mitsu head gasket and the guy told me the only 1 that shows is the standard paper/metal type gasket and it was like $65 and he said it was no better than the fel pro which cost $35. where can i get a steel head gasket?

i got a fel pro head gasket set ive havent had any problems (knock on wood ) i personally belive that if it was that bad then they wouldent sell it .... it has to meet the same standards as the oem mitsu
