feels like a stutterbox/rev limiter at 4500rpms

Below 4k rpm's, the car pulls hard and boosts strongly 12psi. as i approach 4500 rpm, my acceleration falls off and it stutters rapidly and i have NO more acceleration even if i stay WOT. it feels like a rev limiter.

mods in profile. no major boost leaks. datalogger showed a fluctuation in rpm and o2 voltage as the problem occurred, consistant with a rev limiter like nature.

i've hit fuel cut. this isnt fuel cut. also, the datalogger shows a normal o2 voltage, not a lean one.

make sure the line is still connected to the top of the BOV and i would check plugs.

Line still connected. Brand new NGK BPR7ES.

im thinking the ecu is going bad.

Im having the same problem after I changed injectors, ecu, fpr, and fuel pump back to stock. I swapped the ecu back to the eprom/link and still have the problem. I'll just try to switch them out one by one until its fixed.

dam is this thing air borne have the same problem,just put in new ngk 7's still does it about to swarp out the coil, hey guys did anybody get it fixed?

I was running way too rich.

i changed the coil and it didnt help, so i leaned out my top end and it cleared right up. it was a case of bad tuning. hope this is you guys's problem as well.

I've had the same problem before. Sounds like an ignition problem. How old are you spark plug wires? You might want to change them if they are old. And also check your spark plug gaps.

I had the same problem two days ago. I changed my plugs and wires this morning. She is running like a top now.

ngk7's gaped 28 new plugs gonna try my buddy's wires to see if that helps,swapped the coil and nothing

Im having this same problem. My car ran fine last night. I took out my EPROM ecu to test my friends GVR4 which he was having problems with. My ecu in his car caused it to sputter and die as soon as it came into boost. After I put the ECU back into my car, It would sputter and bog at around 10lbs of boost. Weird thing is that if I free rev the engine, sometimes it goes right to redline like it should, and sometimes it acts like I have an anti-lag system or something, sounds just like it, at around 4500rpms.

Im guessing my problem is ECU related since my car is basically stock with the exception of an exhaust, K&N filter and boost controller set at 16 psi. Anyone experience this before? Find a fix?
