My favorite is when I boost down the street with my head out my window. Then I can scream "PSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" everytime I shift. Tough to do in a helmet though so you might need a megaphone.

You should read the thread atleast before you reply to a comment. If you don't know alot of cars with big turbos well you two blowoff valves to prevent any shock waves from going back against the compressor wheel.
. I've seen some huge turbo setups but never two bov's

Its common scence that if you start flowing more air eventually a 28-30mm valve in a short time is not going to be able to vent all that pressure between a shift. Common scence is not so common, thats why most big turbo cars have large valves like godzilla, greedy, tial etc..

Dejon tool also offers a similar type mod to the 1g CBV. I had a 1g CBV and it wouldn't hold anything past 18psi for crap. Although I have seen several stock un-crushed 1g CBV's hold 22psi, without any crushing or modding. My GReddy Type-S solved all my leaking problems and it works flawlessly. I agree, TIAL's are great also, along with there external wastegates.Originally posted by GSX4LIFE
"1g bov's leak at idle. if it wasnt leaking, then it would be time for a new one. 1g bov is actually a cbv, not a bov. and the 1g cbv HATES to be vented."
They will not leak, and will hold 25+psi if you do the high boost mod(not crushing). Here is the link that describes the procedure.

However, you shouldnt even be thinking of venting it unless you are able to... THE CORRECT WAY! Even recieculated, this mod will help. Once again, only 2 valves I would ever use. The 1G CBV,(for those that have to recirc) and the TIAL, (for those that can vent).
The "Minnie Mouse" sound is only on mostly stock cars running low CFM(not PSI). MY HKS SSQ got a hell of a lot louder when I put on my FMIC and pipes and I started running a larger turbo. If you put my car and a stock one next to each other with the same valves the sound would be totaly different. My valve (when at high boost) sounds similar to the Tial that my friend was running. The HKS is a great valve because it uses two springs. One spring is for low boost when at low RPMs (sounds like fluttering) and a large spring for high boost (sounds mean as hell). If you don"t like the sound of the valve you can either change the insert for a higher or lower sound or recirculate.Originally posted by XTurboSpYderX
I like the crisp sound of the turboXS valves...
yes... the HKS (when vented) sounds like minnie mouse sneezing... so if you like that high piched fluttery chirp... then the HKS is kewl... I think it sounds kinda fruity... but that's just me...

and 1G) Its a great quality valve that comes with its own flange and everything ready to go. Its not the lowdest thing with the T25 but now it sounds close to what a recirculated Type S sounds like. If i ever want a loud sound again i might change as far as right now all i care is for performance so im stayin wtih the TiAL.
