My fans work because they turn on with the ac but they don't turn on when driving and i just got so hot it melted my hose(silicone hose not for liquid but all i had) that goes to the coolant res. Now is it the sensor in the radiator itself that is bad? It did come out of a radiator that sat for 5 years or so.

Also i think i need a new thermostat would that make the fans act up? Also i am using Aftermarket efans and alum rad.

Thanks

Brand new aluminum radiator. My relays look ok and all fuses are good. i just bought a sensor for 24 off ebay so lets pray that that is all i need. When switching the sensor over it was corroded to a point yea.

thats a good place to start, make sure u do a good flush and check all your hoses and make sure they are rotting to shit. also make sure you get all the air out of the system.

Turned out to be the radiator temp sensor. Just had time to get it running yesterday and once it warmed up one fan kicked in. A minute later the other one kicked in as well.
