Im looking to replace my stock fans with the FAL #325 kit that bolts right up to the 2g to make some clearance for my fmic short route kit. I just have a question for anyone who is currently running this setup. They list the depth as 2 5/8" thick. Does this setup fit flush against the rad core so that the depth of the fans at the bottom where my turbo outlet/ic inlet pipe would run would be 2 5/8" from the rad core? Or do they sit off from the rad core like the stock setup? If so could someone measure the depth from the rad core to the back of the fan assemble near the bottom where my lower ic inlet pipe would run, as I was thinking that maybe that depth also includes where the electric motor is in the center of the fans and clearance isn't an issue at that spot, just near the bottom of the fan blades, thanks.

Alright I know a couple guys are running this fan setup, could someone just measure the distance from the rad core to the point that sticks furthest out about 2 or 3" s up from the bottom of the fan assembly? It would help me out alot, thanks.

Daren the deepest part of the FAL Fan is the motor area it measures 2 5/8's. At the bottom it measures just over an inch thick as it does at the top. You should have plenty of clearance for your turbo compressor outlet.

Thanks for the info Steve. So do they just plug in & work like stock as advertised? Or do you need to do some wiring?

You have to do some wiring. I cut the wires off my stock fans and wired them up to the Fal Fan wiring. The thing about 2G fans is they have four wires per plug and the Fal fans have only two. You need to wire all the postive wires from the rad fan to the positive wire on the Fal fan and vice versa for the negative....now repeat steps for the AC fan. There is a few large threads on here about it. You also have to modify the brackets to attach them to the stock rad. Here are some more pics. I drilled a hole in each bracket just beside the slider part to make it attach to the rad. I made little S shaped brackets to help with the ones that came with the fans.
