I just got my new turbo the other day and am planning on building the "o2" housing this weekend which is going to be 3.5" vband then mated up to my existing downpipe, my question is do you prefer to build from turbo to downpipe or vise versa and why?

Also those of you running a vrsf fmic and a big turbo what did you use to mate the lower ic piping to the turbo, i was planning on just buying a 90* 3" to 2.5" coupler but without having the car here to look at and just going off memory the coupler wouldnt be long enough

Definitely start at the turbo, than work down. To connect the intercooler pipe a 90 degree coupler will work just fine.

The coupler doesnt have to be super long like the one that came with the vrsf ic? most coupler reducers ive found are only 3" long from the bend

+1 on that. The turbo is in a fixed position. So it far easier to start from there. Good luck!

Thanks its my first time doing something like this

It only gets easier. I love to fab stuff up. That's why I went into Autobody out of high school. Just remember cardboard and a sharpe can be your best friend when mocking stuff up.
