Extremely Rusted Bolts

What have you guys done to remove those bolts that are so rusted they wont budge? (Specifically exhaust bolts)

A lot of PB Blaster, let it soak for a while, spray it again, let it soak, then use a breaker bar if necessary and hope it doesn't break...

Do above 1st but don't turn so hard they break. If still on, heat red hot (I mean RED hot) with Mapp-oxy or acetylene torch (not propane - won't be hot enough). When cooled down to just warm, spray with PB blast or liquid wrench and tap lightly with hammer. Let cool all the way and spray and tap again. They will now come off so easily you'll be amazed.

I had the same prob with trans bolts i actually broke the head off of one. I ended having to drill it out but i'm getting a new trans so... but if you want a short cut to above post use a propane torch on the outside of the bolt for about 20 sec and very quickly try to loosen it. Works like a charm.

Just as luv2rallye said, an acetylene torch is the best way. But if you don't have access to a torch you can spray the bolts with a penetrant then drive the car, shut it off and let it cool down, and spray them again. The heat that the exhaust produces will the pull the penetrant into the threads of the rusted bolts. You may have to do this process 5 or 6 times however.

Or you could just do what kenamond and I told you. Take the entire exhaust apart at the 02 sensor housing. Get the entire exhaust out in the open, then you can do whatever is needed.
