External Oil Cooler Question

At my most recent trip to the junkyard i found an external automatic transmission cooler made by mopar. I was wondering if this could be used as an external oil cooler for a 90 oil filter housing; has anyone had experience using a transmission fluid cooler as an oil cooler? The dimensions of the cooler are approximately 6 inches x 10 inches and the inlet/outlet is approx. 3/8ths of an inch (same size as the hard lines that come on a stock 90 oil filter housing). I want to be sure that this will flow the oil efficiently enough to keep the pressure in the oil system due to the runners in the cooler being smaller than those in an external oil cooler.

You can use a trans cooler as an oil cooler..it's the same idea.
Why not just get a 90 oil cooler?

I suppose i could try to find a 90 external cooling but i was inquiring because this one is in very good condition. I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't build pressure before the cooler and effect the oil system.

As long as it seems clear, i.e. you can blow air freely through it, and it's clean. I don't see why you couldn't use it.
