Okay I've searched and searched as searched for complete answer with this swap so I think its time we make a thread to relieve any and all question

This is for all 7-bolts. Yes I'm gonna keep mine 7-bolt, crankwalk doesn't scare me :D

I know we need the Evo 3 oil housing, SS lines, AN fittings, and the oil cooler.
Okay so how about adding oil pressure and temp gauges? Should I cut into the lines for the adapters or what?

Also I can't find a straight answer of what to do with the stock oil cooler, seeings how its water cooled, what do I do with the water lines afterward?

Lastly, what about the oil filter on the evo 3. What filter is it? Will it run into issues with a aftermarket downpipe? If so what would be best, oil filter relocation kit, or slim/small oil filter??

Thanks to all that contribute! :hellyeah:

Thanks guys.

But what my main wonder is the water lines that run to the stock oil cooler. What is to be done with those? Cause I know our stock 2g oil cooler is water cooled. Or are there even lines that run to it?

There are lines that run to it. The only thing that I can think of to do with them is to recirculate them or just block them off at the inlet and outlet points on the hoses/pipes where they come out of the water tube/engine block. This is the only thing that I have thought about doing to the lines themselves when it comes time for me to get the sandwich. Hope this helps even though I have not done it yet.
