Can someone explain to me if i would need an exhaust specifically for a GST? Like i cant use a greddy catback from a GS to a GST?

Above info is wrong. Catbacks bolt up the same to the gs and GST but for obvious reasons downpipes are not interchangeable.

For anyone searching AWD and FWD exhausts are completely different.

Yup, yup. The routing past the cat is different between AWD and FWD, but all of the FWD have the same catbacks.
 
You want a 3 inch exhaust for gst if you lived closer I have a full apexi n1 exhaust I can sell u off my gst. My friend had a megan racing downpipe and a thermal R&D exhaust catless idk about your emissions in cali but it sounds wicked.
