i know its a pretty basic question, but does an exhaust silencer decrease performance/take away power ? my apex-i N1 is pretty loud and was considering shoving the silencer in that came the the exhaust--- i noticed its pretty tough to pull it out once its in place- does anyone know of easy ways to take the thing out?

Yes, it does decrease your power.

I've never had a problem taking my silencer out, but I've only put it on once and took it off right away. I'd probably use needle nose plyers, if I had problems taking it off.

I know on my evo if I put the slincer on it lose about 30 hp because the piping diameter changes to like 1 1/2 inches. Regarding taking it out I have z shape tool that helps me pool it out.

True.

Why putting a silencer on a turbo car? turbo car doesn't sound that loud.
Loud will be a Harley-Davidson riding in your door.(I hate Bike week  )

I have a full three inch exhaust. I have my silencer in, and it did make a big difference in sound. As for as performance goes I can't say yet. I keep it in cause of boost creep. With the silencer off I saw it creep right away to 21lbs, so until I get my 14b ported, the silencer is staying in. However with the silencer in, my car still feels like it gained a lot of power, can't wait to take that thing off!
