hey whats up guys. my last question was answered good and greatly appreciated. i got one more for now and hoping to get some good input.

ive been looking at exhausts for a while now and unfortunetly i dont have the money to blow 500 - 700 on an exhaust. ive talked to some people who have bought cheaper exhausts right off ebay and theyhave been good

I Was wondering if anyone has had any expierence with this exhaust or have heard about it before. anything would be appreciated, thanks again.
eBay Motors: 95-99 ECLIPSE GST TURBO TALON CATBACK EXHAUST 96 97 98 (item 300286589894 end time Jan-19-09 15:05:31 PST)

just make sure you get the stainless and titanium one.
9other cheap ones rust through ) also make sure you get the right fwd or awd one or else it wont fir right. i have had great enjoyment from mine and it came straight from ebay.140 shipped

Go for it. If you dont like the sound of it, remove the axle back and replace the muffler with the one you want. I want to drop mine so I can get the brand for those of you that want a 3" stock sounding exhaust. Mine is a full three inch with 2 4" resonators that are about 10-12 inches long and a stock appearing/sounding muffler. My only complaints are that the tips rusted off it. Im gonna get a new tip welded on the muffler as soon as I get some extra cash.

Please do not bump your posts. Also, "u" is not "you".

If you're going to buy a cheap, no-name ebay exhaust, expect quality to suffer compared to a brand-name, DSM-specific vendor's parts.

In my opinion, its all just piping. You will notice a difference in quality so keep an eye on the rust. Try to keep the bends to a minimum also. If you have problems with the one you buy, have another one made with better material. Use aluminum piping if you feel safe about it. As long as you keep it away from some really extreme heat, you should be good with running aluminum. You will also shave some weight from the car. I wouldnt run it closer than the cat.

On my last 1g I had a shop bend me up 3" catback with aluminum and a nice Magnaflow muffler. It was cheap. Ive heard good things about the ebay exhausts and its only piping. I have apexi n1 now and its an old system and its rusty and thats an expensive catback so save yourself some money

I have that same exhaust that I bought from them. Ill take pics of it later today to show you how it looks like installed.

That's how it looks installed. Sorry I couldn't give you the pic of how it looks in the bottom since my jack literally got jacked.
It has a slight JDM angle to it, which is a :thumb:. It also has a nice deep tone to it, not loud at all unless you step on it.
Its full 3" piping then it necks down to fit the cat (approximately 1" of 2"1/4 piping at the front).
If you want full 3" in the future you can cut the existing flange and weld on a 3" flange.

I dont mean to hijack but i didnt want to start a whole new thread. When i bought my car the first mod i did was a catback. HKS Hiper 2.5. Later as i started modding i went with 2.5 the whole way back.

I just got my thermal 3" system and my buddy custom made me a 2.5 to 3" DP and is eliminating the cat. Now the exhaust i took off is not 2.5 but indeed 2.25. Im not sure how i could have missed this all those years ago but:beatentodeath:

My question basically is, running 20 psi with the exhaust i had, replaced with the custom DP and thermal catback, am i going to notice a considerable difference? I just cant help but feel the old exhaust was seriously choking me off of flow.

Probably most your gonna feel is on the butt dyno.

I would go for it as long as long as you pass inspection with it, but from the looks of it everything seems to be in place. Cats, resonators etc are all there.

You might experience boost creep if your still on an internal wastegate. Can't say I've heard of your turbo listed in your profile though so i wouldn't bet on it.
