so after rebuilding my transmission, I got the car put back together but now when I go around a hard left turn, the rubber mount that holds up the front end of my 3" catback swings into the driveshaft and rubs. It didn't do this before I rebuilt the transmission.

Now I'm worried that I may have misplaced a part. On the front driveshaft support (between the 1st and secound shaft) there is a little flange with two nuts welded on it on the drivers side and It looks like some sort af bracket used to be there. anyone know what it is or if it could be whats allowing the exhauset to swing over?

thanks

possibly the rubber mounts arent as good anymore, over time they do get stretched out. And dont work like they use to.

Try moving the exhaust on the rubber hangers. Mine hits the driveshaft at times but it's better now that I moved it around.

You may want to check all your mounts; on the engine side in particular.

I don't know if you touched them or not, but somethings moving that didn't before. Your likely putting more torque though the drive train now that you've got a strong tranny, causing something to give.
