I just installed my Buschur 2.5" Turbo-Back exhaust with a test pipe. My problem is that the flange connecting the test pipe to the cat back is hitting the driveshaft...Has anyone else had this problem or do they know how to fix it? Oh and also, after installing it, my stock oil pressure gauge goes REALLY high and then comes back down intermittently.

i figured out why the oil pressure was so high, i knocked the oil pressure sending unit around a little when i was taking off/putting on the down pipe...i have a temporary solution for the exhaust by pulling it away with a coat hanger, but i'd still like ot know if anyone else has had this problem...oh and i failed ot mention also that i bought the system used, if that has any significance.

hey man i have the same exact problem with the same exact set up if you figure out how to fix let me know man i can't stand it anymore its driving me crazy....

thanks,

I have the BR 2.5" DP and Cat Back and just installed a 2.5" Testpipe.
I noticed during the testpipe install that the same flange you talk about is very close to the DS (may have hit it in the past as I saw some marks).

I think the problem is the DP doesn't have a "hanger" mount to attach to the car's bracket to direct it away.

I used the OEM grounding strap and a hose clamp to bring the DP a bit farther away from the DS.

Its not just BR...I have an N1 DP with an R&R catback, and at low RPMs I can feel it bouncing off the drive shaft or care bear....not sure which one.

Just take a BIG clamp and wrap a couple of them around the middle of the exhaust near the o2 sensor. Clamp it on to the mounting bracket, and while tightening it, make sure you pull the eghaust away from the driveshaft. Before I did this to mine, it was sparking under the car and was putting a hole in my new N1 piping.

I have a BR 2.5" turboback as well, and when I was under the car I noticed marks on the driveshaft from where it'd hit the exhaust flange at the downpipe.

Seems to be a common problem? Mitsugsx95 - I'm not quite sure if I understand your thing about the clamp - you say "a big clamp" then you say "wrap a couple of them" - so is it one or two?

I just put on a 3" RnR catback the other day and the flange for my test pipe makes contact w/ the drivshaft mount but is yours guys' exhaust hitting the actual driveshaft?

yes, the flange on my test pipe WAS hitting the actual spinning driveshaft.
