My t25 is shot. I need a turbo quick, but i do not have supporting fuel mods. I'm debating between the evo3 and t04. I have been told that I can run the evo3 on stock fuel with low boost. Can this also be done on the t04? I know its not recommended but i cannot afford everything at once, and the turbo needs to be the first thing fixed since it looks like im on fire when driving it. HELP!

get the EvoIII, you need supporting fuel mods to even think about getting the TO4B. Remember you can do 11-13psi on stock fuel for the EvoIII. Good Luck

Okay, that was my first choice, but heres the problem. I need it quick and extremepsi only has the non-modded wastegate in stock for the next 3 weeks. It also does not list if that turbo can be ported through their site, which is a concern. Is it worth getting the 34 mm flapper and does anyone know if extremepsi.com ports this turbo?

to4b doesn't push THAT much more..

if u can run the EVO III at 10-13 u should be able to run the t04b at 7-9

do the fuel pump rewire as well.. that'll help u squeeze some more juice out..

it would suck if u bought the EVO then the fuel mods, then wanted to go again and buy a t04b wouldn't it?

Well, I would need to know for SURE that i can run t04 on stock fuel. Are you certain i can do this? If so, wheres the best place to get this turbo?

I purchased a T3/t04b just last week myself..

same situation as u..

i'm tired of my T25.. and i didn't wanna keep upgrading my turbo ...

If ur gonna do it, do it right... I didn't wanna take a 16G like everyone else... and I always wanted a t3/t4, and they've never been easier to setup then now.. fits on stock flange, stock DP stock exhaust.. comes with oil line kits and all.. only thing u have to do is get and intake for it.. (depending which one u buy of course)

when i get my T3/T4 i'll be bolting it up right away.. and running low boost...

I fuel cut @14psi any way.. so i'll fuel cut on my T3 way before I can grenade the engine anyway...

i'm more worried about Heat soaking the SMIC.. since the weather is starting to warm up around here...

basically the T3 is the center of my build up and i'm working around it.. so I only have to buy everything once and thats it...

and the car is still usable daily.. as i earn paycheques and order the supporting mods..

Sorry to drag this thread back, My T25 is shot and i need to get a new turbo. Its pointless to buy another T-25, So i want to know on the TO4B will i be okay to run 8psi for a lil while till i upgrade my fuel, also i'm still running everything else mostley stock. Will the high pressure actuator be able to run only 8psi???

I ran my T04b with just a fuel pump and AFPR for fuel mods. Stock injectors and I ran 12 PSI of boost. So honestly, just get a Walbro 190 fuel pump (less than $100), and you should be good to run a T04b to around 10-12. Use a logger and make sure your timing and O2's look good. :thumb:

You can run any turbo you want to on stock fuel, just make sure you have *solid* boost control and keep it around 10-11psi~no more then stock. Obviously this is not recommended at all, but you'll survive if it just temporary. I'd just bite the bullet and spring the extra 100 bucks for a fuel pump for safety.

had to bring this back from the dead,
i didnt wanna post something thats already been asked.
but i do have a question.
i have a 2g gsx, stock 450's, stock turbo
every bolt on you can think.
and a Evo 9 fuel pump for my fuel mods. (injectors will be installed soon)
if i install my bullseye power to4b direct bolt on,
and run it at 10 psi (ewg spring pressure)
would that be okay? until my safc gets here for a tune?
thanks!

If you don't have a logger to monitor knock and a wideband to measure your air/fuel ratio, I wouldn't do anything.;) There's no way you'll ever know what's really going on without them.:|

its too late now, i already have the turbo.
but the evo 9 fuel pump,
its a direct drop in, with no modification right??
and i have the afpr ill connect also.
