hey guys i have an EvoIII turbo on my 99gsx and ive been looking around for an o2 dump that would hook up to my evoIII turbo . . . i ordered one from PunishmentRacing but was forced to return it since the downpipe was about an inch short from the exhaust - - - ive been looking around and i have noticed that none of you guys have the evoIII with an o2 dump set-up, is it this possible to have ? boost creep is a major problem im facing right now, and its pretty annoying when im trying to tune the car and it cannot hold at a steady level . . . thanks :dsm:

of course it's possible. it's just an o2 dump from any tdo5h turbo family. doesn't matter if it's a 14b, 16g, or whatever..

the o2 from punishment was what was causing it to be shorter. it may not be compatible with whatever you're using it with.

I just gave up on trying to fix boost creep...I'm running atleast 20+ psi...all mmy boost gauge reads...so far it running ok but I have enough fuel and big injectors...

I'm just worried about the smic heat soaking so I only do one pull every now and then.

How bad are you creeping? I'd say port the wastegate passages as much as possible get some more fuel and if it's not knocking etc ur good to go.

I don't understand boost creep is so easy to fix.

it'll stay around 20-22 psi until 4000 RPM . . . at 5500 - 7000 it'll jump to 24-25 . . . the max its ever hit was 28.3, and that was kinda scary . . . i have 660cc injectors a vr4(3kgt) fuel pump . . . and a S-AFC in the fuel department upgrades. ported o2 housing posted turbo and ported exhaust manifold . . . and it still creeps OMG

i had really bad boost creep so i got the external wastegate setup from dnperformance, it came with the manifold o2housing and external wastegate and i love the setup boost creep was eliminated completely. i can even run low boost to redline and no creep at all!!

Its all about your ability to bypass your turbine wheel. If you have a very freeflowing exhaust and a small extremely fast spooling turbo there your gonna build boost beyond what you have it set for because the wastegate just cant react that fast.

You wanna know how I elminated boost creep I got an external dump. Either do that or get a downpipe with a foot of 2 1/2 piping before you go 3". Or do both.
Air always takes the path of least resistence think about it and you will understand how easy it is to cure.
