Evo8 steering wheel on a 1g

There's been some questions about Evo8 steering wheels on a 1g, lots of rumors, "hearsay", talk about hub adapters, etc. I was wondering if anyone has any good solid answers/pics if it is possible. I have a Sparco wheel in my 1g right now, and I was wondering if replacing it with an Evo8 wheel was cheaper or not. I like the way an Evo8 wheel looks and feels, just like my Sparco wheel does. Question runs through my head....Sparco or Evo8? So if prices and availability can be mentioned that would be great... Thanks for the help.

A guy from Taiwan on dsmtalk actually took a 1g hub and welded it on a 2g to make the evo wheel fit. He has pics up on there if you search for it.

so your saying that the 1g hub is a direct bolt up to the evo steering wheel, and he had to use a 1g hub instead of his 2g hub? sweet.
