EVO VIII Seats

A local guy is selling a pair of EVO 8 front seats without sliders. What would I have to do to get those in my 1G? Custom Bases and universal sliders?

How much should I offer him for them? He is asking 1K or best offer. But I think thats too high given that for that money I get get Sparcos.

What do you guys think?

Those Recaros are one of the best made seats on the market, as good as Sparco if not better in some ways! Those same EVO VIII seats retail for over a grand each so I would say that it seems like you are getting a great deal.
You could do a search and see if Recaro has a site that list seat model numbers and see if they have brackets for your car...if not just have some made. I would get them but would probally do a little more research or check ebay and cross reference the pricing...but it is my understanding thos eseats sell for a grand over...each.

..and they are very comfortable at least for me. I have a 35 inch waist and brad shoulders and the seats were great.

The seats do not have the slider rails.... if I end up getting them what can I use... universal ones?

This is what my friend said after i told him i wanted a pair for my GSX, "Have you ever even sat in those, they are so uncomfertable, some of the worst production seats ever dude."

Wait till i tell him this

They are nice seats but I would not spend 1k for them.

My thoughts exactly... Sparco Torino's are allot nicer and will run me about the same I think.
