i was wondering if the slowboyracing was a good place to buy from and how good the evo manifold is. Is it better than a tubular manifold from DNP. Also it says that Stage I is ported to match the 7cm gasket and the runners are ported about a inch into the runners. Or Stage II is ported to match the 7cm gasket and the runners are fully ported. I was wondering which stage is better to go with and should i also buy the manifold stud kit. And is 200$ a good price for just the manifold.

Do you own a DSM, or are you trying to match these items to non DSM?
Here is a link to a thread that will might help you in answering if you want tubular vs 2g mani.

The evo mani is very nice, worth the $200. If you have the extra money and want something a little nicer then go for the tubular. The tubular is not going to give you that much more hp and spool up to cover the extra $300 that you are going to spend, but it does look a whole lot better.

i am getting a 98 gsx soon and was just getting to know the parts better and know what was the best to get for it so that i can order it now and when i get he car be able to put it on.

4-500 rpm spool reduction. Better throttle response and much more flow up top is definitely worth the additional price. I went from a ported evo to a DNP.The two are not even comparable. I guess you would have had to actually try both. to give an accurate assessment of the differences:thumb:

but it does look a whole lot better

yes it does:cool:

Installed and ceramic coated

If you have the coin go for the dnp tube header. The old some guy went 11's on a 16g type or arguments are old and silly.

I would have to agree, the DNP was, and is worth the money. If not for looks, then the added bonus of hp/spool is worth it. Again the argument about how much hp, and spool is reduntant, I have both, and would never go back. By the way I kind of like the black, is that ceramic coated? The polished look just doesn't last....

Yup jethot 2000* black its actually a 2400* coating. Works well and keeps under hood temps down.
