Ok guys I was looking on purchasing some stock dsm 450cc injectors but a guy just offer me some stock Evo injectors. My question is would I need some kind of tunning or anything like that. I dont wan to tune my car yet so I wanted to see if I can put the evos without having to tune? Also do they fit? Are they just as a direct bolt on without having to rewire them? I would really appreciate your help. THANKS!!:thumb:

Yes. You will need some form of tuning (no double-consonants in that word, btw) for the Evo injectors, which usually run about 560cc's. An SAFC will be okay for that.

o that suxs... another thing.. 1g injectors should fit without a problem on my 2g dsm is that correct?

The flow slightly less if I remember correctly but it should be close enough for the ecu to compensate as long as you get them out of a 5spd car. Automatic transmission 1g injectors will be too small. You may run into a rough idle for a bit while the ecu adjusts and WOT will be a bit off. You are better off using 2g injectors. If you need some I have an extra set.

they are both 450cc except for 1g auto which are 390cc. the 450s should flow the same either way. i believe there is a difference in fuel pressure between 1g and 2g. 36psi and 42-43psi i believe. But yes, you will need at least an safc to tune the injectors. I've been told 2gmas and 550cc injectors pair up well on a 1g with no tuning but have never tried it myself.

yeah they are both 450cc injectors, 2g injectors have a better spray pattern due to the nozzle area, but both injectors are rated at 450cc. 450cc injectors used at 36.5 psi will not flow as much as 450cc at 43 psi.

That may be correct.

I may be remembering this wrong but I was under the impression that besides the FP being lower the injectors were also slightly smaller. Regardless it should be noted that what an injector is rated for is only an approximate value. I know that they are all 450s.
