OK here are some pics of the motor. I mean most of it is past stock so it's not gonna say a whole lot LOL !!!... The main thing to keep in mind is the valve cover.. completely different then my 2nd gen in color and text. :thumb:

Had to throw one of the FP3065 in there too :sneaky:

The T-STAT housing in this picture is from my 2nd gen. As stated above it was different. I used this one because I previously had fitting welded to it to run -AN lines as you can see.

Hey everyone,

Not to revive an old thread, but I'm currently in the process of swapping in an Evo III longblock, so if you have any questions ask quickly while the parts/motor's still on the stand and not in the car. I have my old 2g block next to it for comparison. I'll try to get some pics up in the next few days too.

I also have JDM CAPS if you guys need any more part #s, but most of them should already be posted up.

Was in a rush so didn't get a chance to measure them. Did look them up in JDM CAPS however, and the part #s are different:

Evo
9312.1 9501.2 MD190766
9501.3 9508.3 MD327728/MD334948 (replacement part)

2g DSM
9401.1 9501.2 MD190767/MD334949 (replacement part)
9501.3 9511.3 MD327729/MD334949 (replacement part)
9512.1 9904.3 MD334949

Intake manifold gaskets are the same, both MD192031

1g DSM heads are different too
8903.1 9204.3 MD147283
9205.1 9310.3 MD190768
9311.1 9405.1 MD311408

Most of the part #s are out there already, but lemme know if you guys want any. I have both US and JDM CAPS
