A friend of mine took his 6 bolt for a rebuild, but then he gave up. So he gave me the engine. The thing is that everything is apart and I don't know which piston goes where , and he did not mark the caps on the rods so everything is a mess. So could I just get new pistons and rods and install them in any cylinder? If I have to ill get a new cranckshaft... Thanks:thumb:

yes if you get new pistons and rods they can be installed on any cylinder but after they are installed they have have to stay in the same cylinders, i always take a number punch and tap the number on the bottom of the cap and the side of the rod to keep them straight.
