Hmm.. from the Toledo area. and BOTH of my DSMs are running at the moment. :thumb:

Well, mine is now technically "running" again... The engine runs anyways after a multi-month repair. The trans however still needs to go out for repair. Sigh.

if you go down bagley by BW then im sure you have seen my black talon there. fayt send me a pm if you want to cruise. my piece is my daily driver so it has no problem with snow :D , this things do better donuts then i thought!

Well, It looks ohiodsm.com is not up.

There is a Cleveland DSM at cdsm.raktron.com

Through a LOT of hard work I've managed to meet a few, but they're in one of these groups:

- old-skool, now has family and little extra time and hates all the new people
- is more interested in just going out drinking then doing anything really having to do with the cars
- good person, but works hours that are just really weird so they can never meet with people on "normal" schedules
- scared of actually using the car for what it's intended for, and won't bring it out to play.

That's why I rarely bother with webforums anymore. I've notice a VERY high correlation between "web forum posters" and "people who never show up" at events... The people you can never get ahold of at home or on-line are the ones that just keep showing up at the events :)

I tend to fall into the "good person, but works hours that are just really wierd so they can never meet with people on "normal" schedules"

That and I haven't owned a DSM in 4 years. But thats all changing soon. I pick up a 96 Talon TSi sometime in the next couple weeks. I just need to find anengine for it.

I live around Sharon, Pa and am willing to drive acouple hours to get some ppl together.. Let me know..And i get my car back tomorrow from getting the 6 bolt swap.

Well I hate to say it but I am being forced to sell my project car. I am still considered a newbe so I can not post in the classifieds. So I am posting for sale here. And hopefully some one local can take it off my hands.

I have a 91' talon awd now a 5 speed rolling shell, with motor and another blank block, 4 bolt rear end 5 speed trans, auto trans and a bunch of mic. parts to go with it, like new brakes and rotors and stuff like that. Let me know if any one is intereasted I have pics. The body is in great shape I started to some bodywork on filling in the stock body kit holes. The car is black. there is no rust. The car is great just no time or money to play with it. please e-mail me with any questions u may have. I realy don't want to sell the parts sepret. I would like it all to go for 1,700 dollars. E-mail me with offers at
[email protected]
Thanks

Well, to the local DSM/EVO guys, Cleveland DSM is making a comeback. It will soon be under new leadership, and we will try hard to pump some fresh blood into the club again. There are MANY DSM's in the area, but they have yet to be unified. Unsavory folk forced CDSM to go undergorund to save, well, their cars from being stolen. Its time for it to make its comeback.

Hope to see you at some meets when the weather breaks.

So how about an Ohio meet. Need to have one soon, before I end up selling this thing to buy a supercharger for my ///M3:cool:

Once everything goes through this Friday, I am going to organize a "new leadership" get together, most likely at Dave and Busters, but I will put it up for a vote at clevelanddsm.com. I keep finding that a lot of the DSM people I meet in the area haven't even heard of cdsm. I am also going to spend some time working on a good registration system in an attempt to keep any "thieves" out of the boards.
