Yeah, why is that??? :notgood:

Through a LOT of hard work I've managed to meet a few, but they're in one of these groups:

- old-skool, now has family and little extra time and hates all the new people
- is more interested in just going out drinking then doing anything really having to do with the cars
- good person, but works hours that are just really weird so they can never meet with people on "normal" schedules
- scared of actually using the car for what it's intended for, and won't bring it out to play.

That's why I rarely bother with webforums anymore. I've notice a VERY high correlation between "web forum posters" and "people who never show up" at events... The people you can never get ahold of at home or on-line are the ones that just keep showing up at the events :)

A lot of the cleveland DSM'ers have moved to TheLotSpot.com forum, mainly because there are always a lot of people on there posting. The clevelanddsm website is ok for straight dsm stuff, but not too many people are on there anymore and it is hard to hold a conversation without it taking weeks for responses.

edit: I agree, most DSMers around here are odd, and the fact that the other classifieds are full of modded DSMs, but the local dsm/car boards rarely see them.

Wow, you sound like me, I've found the exact same things, you even put it into nice neat catagories except you missed one, the guy that hangs out once and has the time of his life and then he never wants to do it again (must be some guilt from all the fun). :notgood:

Let see if I can get this pic to work now. Here is my car. It's unfortunately an auto but I have already converted it to a manual ( thank god) anyways. The car is about 3 weeks in to the project has a ways to go. Hope to be on the road by late summer. :talon:

how do I get this forum to give me more space for my pics. Or do I have to make the really small and crappy.

I am, but my wife is pretty cool about it. She really dosn't care what I do as long as she has money to shop with. LOL ( she buys, I buy something for the car, She buys more I buy more.)

im not from ohio, but close. we don't have any real dsm groups in kentucky, so if you guys ever meet in southern ohio, im there! i'm gonna add this thread to my list and check it to keep updated. just don't hate on the outsider. :thumb:

I run down to louisville ky to visit my buddy sometimes, how close are you??? :dsm:

No need to have any meets anytime soon, my car is still down. 3 months and counting! (probably another 6 weeks to go). Stupid 6-bolt swap, I'd have had the car back forever ago if it was a 7-bolt. Now that I know what a hassle 6-bolts in a 2g are, next time it blows up, the 6-bolt is going to the scrapheap.

I just wanted to let everybody know that I got my gallery up and running. The pics r nothing real special but it just shows some progress. I will post some more pics as I get farther along with the body work is done. I just got my auto to manual conversion done last weekend. Its really easy when u don;t have the motor, and seat in there getting in your way.

See ya all on the rroad soon.

The has gone threw some changes i've been a member there for a while..though i have stopped in for a few glad to see people still interested. The people there are really cool i know i tried meeting up with them at the shootout in '04 but i just never found them :(

There is a couple of us in the Hartville/Uniontown area that would be interested in getting together and meeting some new people.

Anyone from Milford? (REAL close to Cincinnati)
Honestly I want someone to impress me and give me more motivation for my DSM. This poor soul has never been in a turbocharged car.

so lets do this, lets all get together some weekend soon and have some lunch and check out every bodys rids. Mine will not be there ( its not done yet) but I would like to put some faces and cars with the user names.
Thanks

Hi all, I am from southeast Ohio in Reno. I have a 1G AWD Talon that I am working on. Havent got to enjoy it yet, hasnt ran since I traded for it. Anyways there seem to be quite a few people on here from Ohio and it also seems that none of the local websites are working. I just added a forums option to my website, if you guys are interested I am add a forum for Ohio DSMers. The forum is new and not a lot of action so there will be no bull to dig through. Anyways here is the link if your guys are interested MotovatedCC.com Just go to the forum button in the top right corner.

Hope to meet some of you guys!!!

i'm from michigan, but i go to school in ohio. i'm at ohio northern university in ada (woo-hoo). it's 20 minutes east of lima and 30 minutes south of findlay. i've got a pair of DSMs in the garage at home (in saginaw, mi). niether one runs right now because valves hate me. i might be interested in haning out with a bunch of fellow DSMers depending on when and where it is.
