Hi Guys
I got myself into a problem. I'm on to bring my 2G back to its former glory and doing an Turbo upgrade on the N/T 4G63. Plan was to install an EMU Black for the simple fact, that here in Germany its pretty often used and there are a couple Tuners in my area that tune on EMU. Today I pulled out the Engine ECU Harness in order to paint the Engine Bay and I found 2 Blue and 1 white connectors on it, located behind the Stereo, which I don't know what they are good for.

Now I'm struggling.
Option1: Trial and Error
Option2: Get a Turbo Harness from wherever, I don't know, buy a EMU Adapter for EVO 4-8 and install an EMU ECU
Option 3: OEM Turbo Harness, OEM Turbo ECU, find out what Sensor and whatnot is missing because Mine is N/T, Get an DSMLink and tune it myself...

What do you Guys recommend. What parts are Missing from N/T to Turbo ?

I used the Search Option. Either I'm too stupid or my Problem IS different :D

I would run the factory harness and any additional wiring you need, just build that harness and run it into the where the ecu is and pin it in as needed. unless of course your emu uses different plugs than your factory harness.

There are Adapter for the EMU onto OEM Harness. These are build for EVO 4-8, but as what i found Out, they are pretty identical

if your harness is in good shape, just do the adapter harness, it will make things easy and if you need to pin in or hard wire in you can do it on the adapter side, that way your not messing with the original harness.

Soo Evo and Eclipse Harness are the Same? What wire are Missing from N/T to Turbo model?

I can’t tell you for the Euro 2g, but I will say the US 1g cars are pretty close wiring wise and I suspect the Euro nt 2g is even closer to its turbo counterpart. In the case of our US spec 1g cars the connector to the maf is different and they lack a knock sensor, the pin out is the same minus the missing stuff you add to convert it (1 wire for the maf that’s not even necessary for speed density and the knock sensor signal wire). Again, different scenario but being the 2 are close I will say it’d be easier to add the wires you need (if any) and go from there opposed to dealing with brittle 25 year old connectors on 2 different harnesses and swapping the 2 harnesses out. If you can find a pin out diagram for the Euro 2g nt cars you could easily compare and see what your harness has and then go from there on deeming if it’s even necessary, but someone more well versed in the euro 2g’s may chime in as I know I’ve seen a few Euro 2g owners on here do the change over.

Mine already have a Knocksensor.... Wich confuses me even more :D

If you're really keen on going Turbo then I think it's better you go the proper route and buy a complete harness and go from there. In the long run, a lot more members can help since the platform will then be identical.

I’m just now seeing this but I suspected the Euro 2g nt had a knock sensor already, I’d be willing to bet the pin out for the Euro nt model is the same as the turbo variant and it’s plug and play for the most part but like I said before, I know the conversion has been done by a few members on here so I’d be willing to bet one of them has a clear answer if they chime in.
