Yes, pick it up. You can use it conjuntion with a laptop for real-time editing like dsmlink. You can use TunerpoRT(free) and bin/xdf file to edit your fuel/timing,etc. You should also take a look at www.ds-map.net for speed density conversion.

Yea I've got one in my car right now. It works great while using TunerPRO RT on a laptop. The DSM-ECU Yahoo Group has a lot of the information you need for this.

Okay well it looks like I will be getting this. Thanks for all the input. So what I understand is I plug this thing in like a piggyback system and use a laptop with some kind of tuning software to properly tune. And this will work even though my car is non eprom? Thanks again :thumb:

No, it will not work with a non-eprom ecu. You need an eprom ecu for this. This unit plugs in place of the chip and has a ribbon cable attached from the chip location to the ostrich unit. That way you can plug a usb cable into it and edit it live using TunerPRO RT. That's why they call it an EPROM emulator. It emulates a chip. It is not a piggy back. It goes in place of a regular eprom chip. This is a very good tuning tool since you can edit all aspects of the stock eprom chip code. But, eliminates having to pull the chip out all the time to burn it.
