So i just finished rebuilding my engine put all of the fluids in and such and tried to start it up, it will turn over and click but it will not fire. any help or sugestions would be great, its a 1990 laser rs. also i have a few problems that i have not been able to resolve, and i have pictures.
first off, im losing transmission fluid through some kind of rubber thing through the top of the transmission. heres a picture of the rubber thing on my other transmission. <a href="http://s750.photobucket.com/albums/xx150/sno_boarder4343/car/?action=view&current=IMG_2869.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i750.photobucket.com/albums/xx150/sno_boarder4343/car/IMG_2869.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
it hadnt done this before, so how do i stop it?
next i have a grounding wire or a wire of some sort that is near the transmission and i have no idea where it should go off to. here is a picture of it. <a href="http://s750.photobucket.com/albums/xx150/sno_boarder4343/car/?action=view&current=IMG_2874.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i750.photobucket.com/albums/xx150/sno_boarder4343/car/IMG_2874.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
next the is some sort of hose end that comes off of the air thing connected to the turbo and i have no idea where it goes. here is a picture.<a href="http://s750.photobucket.com/albums/xx150/sno_boarder4343/car/?action=view&current=IMG_2872.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i750.photobucket.com/albums/xx150/sno_boarder4343/car/IMG_2872.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
and another
<a href="http://s750.photobucket.com/albums/xx150/sno_boarder4343/car/?action=view&current=IMG_2871.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i750.photobucket.com/albums/xx150/sno_boarder4343/car/IMG_2871.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
and finaly there is a similar looking one on the thermostat but smaller, do they connect? if not where does this one go?
<a href="http://s750.photobucket.com/albums/xx150/sno_boarder4343/car/?action=view&current=IMG_2875-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i750.photobucket.com/albums/xx150/sno_boarder4343/car/IMG_2875-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
so if you can help me on any or all of these things i would be thankfull

if you are loosing tranny oil from there then it should only leak if you over fill it.. imo...!!!!! and that ground wire looks like it goes to you motor or by the battery... also can you take better pictures im a bit comfused on what im looking at...!!!

You can connect the ground wire to the transmission bolt closest to the wire. The last picture is the coolant line from the throttle body to the thermostat housing. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but you shouldn't be leaking transmission oil from that rubber piece.

As the others have said, the black/yellow ground wire goes to the bolt above where the starter sits on the bell housing into the block. It's the main engine ground and the return path for the starter.

Oil shouldn't come out of the transmission breather. It's an air vent.

The nipple on the intake pipe is for the purge canister under the battery. If you have removed the purge system you cap off the intake pipe so that it isn't a vacuum leak.

The nipple on the thermostat housing it for the coolant to the FIAV under the throttle body there should be another on the water pipe next to it that runs to the other nipple on the FIAV.

I'm not sure if you just removed the hose from the back of the thermostat housing,or your missing it. If you are missing it,there should be two that go from the thermostat housing to the fire wall.

I believe the heater hose is the one you can see below the missing one for the throttle body.

thank you guys so much hopefully it will fire up after i take care of these problems, and i wont have to post any more questions here!

I agree 100% with all that.

But I'm not sure about the Tranny rubber thingy. LOL

no pic is needed buddy all it needs is a bolt connecting the starter to the tranny or a bolt from the motor to tranny and that can cause the motor not to fire as that is the major ground for the engine and all its electronics like a coil pack.
