OK, now I'm pretty sure its the Water temp that is in the top left of the 3 mini gauges on a 1g. Talk about a brain fart LOL...but anyways, it fluctuates between the max "normal" line and its normal position. It usually only does this within the first 10-15 minutes of starting the car up, OR it does it while I'm on the highway. Is this the thermostat going bad, or radiatior, what could be the problem??

thermostat may be getting sticky -- coolant need a flush/fill. it prob is rising untill the fan kicks on then it goes back down but thats just a guess.

Well I've recently blown 2 coolant lines, so I've refilled the coolant tank twice with new antifreeze. There are no more leaks though and there is enough antifreeze in there.

More than likely you need to burp it. Take the cap off the top and squeeze the upper fat hose. Do this repeatedly and it should help.

Also might want to look into getting a thermostat. They are cheap and if it cures your problem then why not?

I'm having the same damn problem. First I replaced the cap, then flushed the system. It worked for a couple days, but as soon as I flushed it the last time and filled it up with coolant the temps shot up to 230 degrees. I tried burping the system, but when the car started to warm up, the coolant just bubbled and overflowed everywhere. Its really starting to get annoying, I'm having a hard time figureing it out. One last thing, when I filled the coolant, I put in a bottle of water wetter, a bottle of zerex water pump lubricant, and a gallon of antifreeze. I was then going to fill the rest up with water, however, that is all the system would take after flushing. SO there must have still been water in there or something. Any ideas or a good way to burp the system would be appreciated.

Thanks
