Engine Swap Recommendations?

Hello to all,
I am new to the DSM world, and am in need of some advice.
I drive a 93 Eclipse GS (DOHC) that I am trying to get looking nice with a good amount of power and speed. My engine is getting pretty old, and I feel like it is time to get a new engine. While im under there, I figure i'll do an engine swap that will give me more power. I was wondering what some of you more experienced DSM drivers would recommend for my car that wouldn't be too extremely hard for a newbie. Thanks in advance.

Well swapping in a totally different motor is no walk in the park for most people. It's all a matter of getting the the parts you need such as: wiring harness,ignition,ecu,tranny,fuel components, and so on. It would be easier to rebuild a TSi instead of doing a complete motor swap it your looking for more power. It's all up to you tho man. I fully built my 4g63 from head to toe and it was a hell of a learning experience. You gotta start somewhere,so go for it! Build a block on the side while your car is running. Get everything you need and when it all comes together,you will be happy you did it. Words of advice. If you do decide to do the swap, literally live on this site. Do as much research as possible.

If your looking for power, I wouldn't worry about rebuilding your n/t. Get it maintained and running good and sell it then buy a TSi and start on that. But if your not wanting the turbo hassles there's plenty you can do for a n/t setup. Search plenty and read plenty and you'll get to where ya wanna be;D Wish you luck and much eye ball stamina.
