I recently purchased this gst and the previous owner was venting to the atmosphere (big dummy) After heavy boost the car would try to stall coming to a stop. I figured the problem was the venting so I welded a pipe connecting to the Greddy S BOV. Went out anxiously hoping it wouldn't stall now. To no assurance it stalled again. The car has a FP green, SAFC, 660s and Walbro. The A/f are pretty rich on top end and Im wondering if that could be the problem. I know, Im going to buy a FPR when I get some more money but Im wondering if there could be another issue causing it to stall, possibly boost/vaccum leak? Thanks

BTW, i reset the ecu after recirculating the BOV.

A Vaccum leak can cause this to happen i beleive. I big one anyways....

Also, if you are expeirencing the problem after high rpm and high boost when you let out, it could be your battery cable being loose. These damn cars do seem to want to shake, haha.

When you come to a stop does the idle dip down lower than it typically should and then come back up to the desired idle RPM? My money is on a vaccum leak.

Some of these cars are pretty funny.........

660's are pretty much the max injector you can tune with an SAFC. What are your low settings?

So you never have idle issues, and/or this never happens unless you're going WOT and let off?

How rich is the top end and how are you monitoring that?

Idle goes drops off and the car dies. Its gradually getting worse, going today to get a boost leak tester and then test ISC.

Just tried to put a tune in, still to no help it idles around 500-700 rpms. I tuned the top end settings to stay around 11 to 12 a/f, so it no big concern there. Low settings on the SAFC are -5% at 1k to -9% at 3k. The a/fs at idle drop off of 17 then come back up to 14-15 when it has warmed up, which is pretty normal. I still think it is a leak problem

Finally did a boost leak and found a massive hole in one of my intercooler pipes. Also found a very small leak in the throttle body seals. I fixed the intercooler pipe but not the throttle body seal. The car still insists on idling VERY low and wanting to stall out while coming to a stop. I've been messing around with the SAFC but cannot get a right setting to stop the stalling problem. My buddy checked the ISC motor and it is fine, and there were no leaks around the BISS. What else could be the problem?
