Hello I'm just wanting to get some input/advice from the forum. I’m rebuilding my 6bolt block and switching to a 6bolt head. I’m thinking around 350-400hp for now. I plan on getting all the machine work done Including hot tank, balance, deck, and hone the bottom end along with getting the crank checked and polished. The head work will pretty much be cleaned, pressure check, valve stem seals, and deck.
Parts list so far includes:
• ACL Main and rod bearings
• Cometic MLS HG OR OEM composite HG (still in the air on this one)
• ARP Head studs
• All new gaskets/seals and piston rings (Staying with the stock 6bolt pistons and rods)
• New waterpump and all other timing components
• Also debating getting some delta regrind h272s not sure yet if I do ill probably get some evo springs an retainers.
Im still in the air on what turbo setup. Im really thinking of going holset hx35 or 40 in a BEP bolt on housing with external WG off the o2. Im also trying to figure out what size injectors to get and figure out if my single wally 255 will be enough for the holset.
Thanks in advance for any input you all may have.

I would actually upgrade the pistons while your there. Get 2G pistons on the 1G 6-Bolt rod.
There is a vendor that does that on here. Be a nice compression increase.

With those plans you could easily grind out 400-450whp on that setup. The stock non forged internals can handle 400 easily, but if your goals are for more than that it may be worthwhile to forge your bottom end while your doing the rebuild.

Oh, and the 255 wally should be more than enough to run the holset, your injectors are what are going to hamper you. If j were you I'd run st least some 550cc's if not more, and also upgrade the afpr.
