Is there any EASY way to tell if my car has aftermarket cams on it? I ask this because when I bought my eclipse, the dealer had to remove AEM cam gears because they wouldn't pass Cali emissions. The Heat Shield for my exhaust manifold was also missing and the main fuel line had been cut and patched. All of these things lead me to believe my car had been modded, and I was wondering if anything might still be left on the car.

Thanks

hmm i know if its turboed vacumm at idle will be lower, but in ur case just pop the valve cover off, and they should have some kind of markings. My Crower cams have a purple spot from a marker.

Keep in mind that he has the 420a. Check/search around to see if there are any special markings/prints on aftermarket cams or anything different from stock.. taking the valve cover off is a piece of cake too, shouldn't be hard for you.

Alright, I'll do that. It just seemed REALLY random for someone to have ONLY put on Adjustable Cam Gears.
