HI people. I have a '99 GSX with 32k miles on it. The check engine light is on and it stutters at 3k rpm like it wont accelerate after than. The car misfires like crazy. I changed to Denso Iridium plugs, but wont work.

I got it dianogsed and it says something like manucurer metering air fuel something and of course multiple cylinders misifre. I was told it its the O2 sensor that is causing the problem.

But then when the code is reset, the car runs normal, boosting at 16 psi. When the check engine light goes on again, the car stutters. Could it be a the cat back? or should i get the o2 sensor changed? what should i do? Plzzz help

im not really sure whats wrong with your car, but i think you should change your plugs over to ngk because those seem to work the best for dsm's. As far as the o2 sensor being bad, i think there is a chance, hows your gas mileage?

The gas mileage is fine. I'm not too sure but I know its not drinking gas like crazy.

Is it harmful that the engine misfires for an extended period of time? I've been trying to figure out the problem for like a month but no luck yet. Plz help.

Hi guys. Do you think the problem might be because the cat back is clogged? I still have the stock cat and muffler. I also noticed a leak in the middle of the pipe. Would that cause any problems?
