I ran the egine key test and I get a 12, and a 31
I know the 31, but what the heck is a 12?

The 12 is the initial number that flashes when doing the key-dance. It's just a way of telling you that the test/sequence has begun.

Then it goes to the errors, in your case 31.

Then the sequence ends in 55 and it's all done. To sum up: Always get a 12 (beginning), then your errors, then the 55 (end).

Let me know if that helps.

Put your key into the ignition then turn it back and forth from the 'accessory' position to the 'off' position 3 times. So it goes like this (on=accessory):

start with off
then on
off again
on
off
on

I don't know if I did it one too many times or not but that's how you do it. The on/off positions must be done within 5 seconds or something, so not lightening speed just kinda quick.

Then watch your CE light. You'll see it blink once, then a little pause, then twice then a longer pause. Then it blinks for the errors you currently have....in Draven's case 31, which would like like this: blink blink blink, small pause, blink, longer pause. Then when it's all said and done you see a 55.

Thanx Venum! Very Helpful! I was gettin scared something else was wrong with my car.
However I did find out it has a Multiple Random Misfire. Which I believe to be in the Coil pack and wires. So I am gonna replace them and go from there!

No problem man :thumb: Hope you get your car fixed and back on the road with no misfires
