Engine harness different

My 1996 Rs is throwing some codes like the iat, misfire, iac. I replaced the iat and iac and tested the harness but the code comes back again. I am thinking the signal cuts out at some point and it is either the harness or the ecu. I need to know if the harnesses are swappable. are the 5speed 96-99 the same?

If you have a 96 then you need a 96 harness, gs or rs will work for you since you have an rs. Gs just has a few more plugs ( fog lights etc.). If you have an auto then you need an auto harness, if a manual then you need a manual harness.
