Hey Guys,
Just ran a scan on my eclipse and got back manufacturing control:Air Fuel metering as a trouble code. The car is building boost and holding up til 4-5k depending on the gear, then just falls on its face. Now I know boost leak is on the tip of your tongue, but thats not it. Pressure tested, and claps tightened numerous times. I have a 20g turbo running stock boost. I've been told 13 pounds on a 20g is like 25 on a stock turbo. (Don't quote me just relaying what I was told) Is it time to start upgrading fuel i.e. injectors and fuel pump, or get the ecu reflashed (or other means of tuning). I bought the car with these modds and know it was never tuned. He said he never went over stock boost but the most I see is 10. I know the ecu is locking it out, due to the code. I only have a narrow band for the time being, but it holds green until it dies. Any help would be awsome.
