The block is at Jackson Auto Machine now. I'm going to get the block assembled except for the front cover and oil pump.
NEW PARTS:
- Wiseco 9:1 coated pistons
- Eagle H-beam connecting rods
- ACL rod and main bearings
- Coated shaft bearings
- ARP main studs
- New piston oilers and gaskets
- New freeze plugs and galley plug
- New head to block dowels
- New 7-bolt front cover and oil pump kit
MACHINING:
- Cylinders bored .020" over
- Torque plate honed
- Parallel decked
- Line bore check
- Clean and magnaflux crankshaft
- Polish and mike crankshaft
- Complete rotating assembly precision balanced
- Block machined for piston oilers
- Clean, mic, polish both balance shafts
- Install 5 deck plugs to match 4G64 block with 4G63 head
I decided to get the block assembled because I wanted professionals to do it. Jackson has the correct machinery and tools necessary to do precision work, and I wanted the balanced assembly *in* the block when I received it. Jackson and i agreed on keeping the balance shafts in the motor - they're there for a reason. One of the cool things they're doing is machining the block for the oil squirters. When the block comes back I'll take pictures and post them.
