Hey here is a picture of my temp turbo set up, most of the stuff i will be changing is the ic pipes and couplers although they are holding at 5lbs. Its ugly but she runs!!! thats all i care about.

mavisky edit: we do have size limitations

few little things, i know the wastegate accuator is not hooked up to the compressor housing and that the upper radiator hose is not covered, and the intake filter is not on all the way plus other things....so don't go yelling at me!!

Its all good, congrats on the install. I have been having a hard time with the seller that I got my intercooler and pipes from. He sent me half my order and wont send the pipes. I fear my setup may end up looking like yours except a little more shiny since the pipes I ordered at polished. Nice job though.

1st thing take those shitty ass Home Depot/ Lowes coupling's/90's off of there and order some that are made for shit like this , the reason being that those will swell under boost and you can only put you pipe into it but so far so now you have more of a chance blowing them off ! Other then that everything looks ok :thumb:

And to add some fun to this, I see 17 non-factory clamps, how many can you find?

And you are going to need to get a breather for that valve cover.

Those Fernco couplers from Home Depot/Lowes/Ace Hardware won't last more than a couple weeks at best. Time to spend some real money on your bends.

First of all, to those pointing out his Home depot couplers won't last long..He did say his set up is temporary, and he stated IC pipes will be upgraded.

Congratulations on getting it installed. What I don't get is if your Wastegate isn't hooked up to the Comp. housing, how are you regulating any boost?(what is it hooked up to)

My downpipe is, and has been alot closer to my upper radiator hose than many other DP's i've seen, and I haven't had any problems with it.

Congrats again:thumb:

Congrats on the install! May not look great but hey if it works what the hell... I've got some extra 90" hoses (Silicone red and Blue)I'm not using, so I'll give 'em to you if you want. PM me, we can meet up or I'll throw them over to you ROFL ROFL We still hooking up all my turbo stuff sometime soon ? Looking forward to the install with ya!

Don't feel bad, mine looks a lot worse, you can check my gallery if you don't believe me. I'm waiting to find a star front mount for sale or the CI front mount kit to be sold. Mine's currently leaking pretty bad (holding 6 max), but it did hold 12 psi on one pull where apparently the line for my wastegate was messed up. That scared the crap outta me when the boost gauge jumped, my engine has taking a beating running real lean like that a couple times due to problems but its still goin strong. (crosses fingers and prays)

well that pic looks familiar(who remembers mine when I first got it running?) Like everyone else said, that 90 elbow off the turbo will melt and blow, I went through 6 and have pictures of 3 of them in my writeup. I dunno how well the curved one not by a heat source will hold up, but the straight ones should hold up just fine. I am actually still using 2 straight home depot couplers coming off both sides of my IC and they work fine.

you would think that you could clock that compressor housing a bit more a get a a few 45* bends and come up with a better pipe routing/orientation IMHO.

looking good though.

* I'll donate (3) 2.25" mild steel 45* bends if you pay shipping, I also have a 2" 90*:sneaky:

Need some t bolt clamps? WTF I have those too, those cost money to get but shipping could be combined:thumb:

PM me for shipping.

I'm so confused everytime I see these kinda pics...does ANYONE short route their piping
