Hey guys, just looking to hear y'alls opinions about what color would look good in a burnt orange car. Not many choices to choose from as not much goes with orange.. I've been powder-coating for a bit and and gonna be doing most of the parts on the project car as they come off. I want to keep it clean and appealing; black/silver would do an excellent job of that on the smaller accessory parts (thermostat housings, motor mounts, ect..) but i'd like something a little different on some of the bigger parts like the valve cover, bov, ect..

Here's a shot of the engine bay to give you an idea of the color:

My latest idea was some form of red. It's close to orange in the spectrum and I think they would blend well together depending on the shade of red..

A darker red like this: (With or without the vein effect)

Or a bright scarlet red like this:

What do y'all think will look good?

Honestly I would prolly just keep the clean black/silver look since it will already be vibrant with the engine bay color.

If anything I would color match the valve cover but leave everything else black/silver/ polished aluminum. Personally I think that would look the cleanest and it is what I would do if I were in your shoes.

I agree with dsmcrzy that black/silver would look the cleanest, but some red accents might come out looking really cool. I'd go with the darker red, but that's just personal preference, I'm not well educated on what colors complement each other and whatnot.
And props on a clean looking bay to start with!

Agreed that it will already be plenty vibrant with just the orange. Im personally a fan of orange and gunmetal, however. You might find something you like in the grey area; surprisingly enough theirs a wide variety of shades to consider.

If you're trying to play it safe and keep it clean I'd do everything in satin or gloss black, then color match the valve cover to the car.

Too much color on every part doesn't give the bay a clean place to focus because its too busy. Keep it simple...

Keeping it clean and simple is the main priority. I was just thinking outside the box a little seeing if any cool ideas came up that would blend well with orange. I might just coat some scrap metal with these reds, and stick them in the bay just to see how it looks.

Satin black and a matching orange was the original plan, I might just stick to it. Thanks for your input my friends!
