So I have my 1998 eclipse GS.
Car starts up pretty funny, I dont know if battery is low or not.
But when I start it, it goes to about 500rpms and looks like its about to stall but it jumps to 1,500 and lowers to 1,200 because I guess its cold so it needs more RPMS.
Is that a problem with the IAC? Check engine light is on too, I dont know for what.
I tried to hook up scan tool to it, and for some reason, the scan tool just wouldnt turn on. Maybe im plugging it in the wrong hole?
Look at the picture I attached to this thread. Which hole am I supposed to put it in?
Also when im maybe going 40mph, and im slowing down, the tranny or engine idk what, just kicks forward sometimes.
I need help, i honestly have no idea.
