Ok I did a search and no one quite has the problem that I have now. Last week my battery began to die and the battery light and brake light came on and from what I read on here that means your altiantor is going. My car would stall and the volts on my turbo timer would be 7. So I got a rebuilt altinator from a friend of mine that has not put his dsm back together yet. It is rebuilt, never used. Put that on it worked well for about 10 minutes. The next day I was driving and sure enough the battery light comes back on so I tried a new battery. That too worked for about 10 min. No the volatge is at 11.9 and drops. Now the problem is when I first start the car everything is fine it runs at about 13.5 volts. But it begins to drop after about 10 min or so
Its fine when your first start it but it starts to take a dump after a little bit!!!! Now I also checked the fuse but that was fine. Any ideas?? keep in mind I do not have a stock dsm battery, it is a Honda CIvic battery because I cannot fit a regular sized dsm battery because of my intake manifold. Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance.
