Ok I did a search and no one quite has the problem that I have now. Last week my battery began to die and the battery light and brake light came on and from what I read on here that means your altiantor is going. My car would stall and the volts on my turbo timer would be 7. So I got a rebuilt altinator from a friend of mine that has not put his dsm back together yet. It is rebuilt, never used. Put that on it worked well for about 10 minutes. The next day I was driving and sure enough the battery light comes back on so I tried a new battery. That too worked for about 10 min. No the volatge is at 11.9 and drops. Now the problem is when I first start the car everything is fine it runs at about 13.5 volts. But it begins to drop after about 10 min or so  Its fine when your first start it but it starts to take a dump after a little bit!!!! Now I also checked the fuse but that was fine. Any ideas?? keep in mind I do not have a stock dsm battery, it is a Honda CIvic battery because I cannot fit a regular sized dsm battery because of my intake manifold. Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance.

i feel ya man if you read i had posted a thread just as yours, i had bad experiences with alternators as well especially rebuilt ones when i had installed just any regular bosch alternator it ran perfect 14.9v too sum it up i would just go and buy a brand new one from kragens for about 140.00 with your core and strap it on cause all rebuilt ones i have had work for about a 3 to 4 days.

Yeah mines a bosch rebuilt one too. ITs weird cause when I keep it under like 3 grand or so it seems to work ok keeps the charge at 13.1 I dunno thanks for the response though. :thumb:

yeah no problem but there is rumor i think the thread was on here about rebuilt boschs compared to brand new ones. i was so pissed dude when i had mine rebuilt and it took a crap on me, let me ask you this below your idle speed it turns off right but when kicked up pass 1,000 rpm it comes up again. yeah seeing that is like death my friend LOL i hope you have better luck with alternators there really a misconvience when it happens

Yeah at below the idle speed the voltage drops like crazy but then I hit the gas and it kicks up. WHat a pita man, and then if I beat on it too bad then it also decides not to work. A couple of auto parts stores around here only sell rebuilds. I will just haveta order one from where you told me. Thanks again.
