I gutted the talon, and found a MESS of wiring, I don't know what's stock and whats not. I found 2 (TWO!!) switches wired into the driver kick panel, one wired under the steering column a relay (i don't know what for!) under the steering column.
2 plugs in the trunk tapped into the main harness that feeds the fuel pump and tail lights that have nothing to plug into? Are they stock? I dont know... I need some help determining what is stock and what is not.
Heh, and my ECU wiring harness... HACKED TO HELL!!! WTF It looks like 5 or 6 AFC's have been installed throughout its life!!! WTF
I have a current draw which I would like to trace out, but with so many hacks into the wiring I don't even know where to start, I only looked for 5 minutes, I wonder what else Ill find!
Alright, first driver side trunk, just before the main harness feeds off to the fuel pump, attached right below the trunk lid behind the quarter panels, is a six wire plug (might be 5 hard to see) it's secured to the outside of the main wiring. Any one know what this is? It looks fairly professional in nature, but looks out of place (mainly becasue I don't see what attaches to it) the wiring is all stock size.
Second, there is another plugh attached tot he same harness, but closer to the back seat belt, it hangs off about a foot, two wire, red and black stock looking wire, maybe for an interior light on one of the quarter panels? If so I must be missing that light. But that seems to be likely...
Heres the fun stuff, a relay with an inline fuse with several small plugs coming off, tapping into the wiring under the steering column. Anyone know of a reason for this? And the two switches, one is a flip switch, the other is a simple push button switch. I originally though it might have been for an amp power source, but I pulled all the aftermarket stereo wiring including the wiring he had for the amp out, and none of it led to any of this stuff.
I will try to get a digital camera to take pictures if I get a response.
