Hey everyone. I bought my 95 GST 6bolt swap last weekend, and started inspecting a few things. I registered in this site last weekend and have searched and read my arse off and now have to ask what i couldnt find out.

1. The door locks fuse was out, so when i tried to put one in (key off) the fuse instantly popped. whats up?

2. With the stock radio, the display works, but no sound whatsoever comes out of the speakers, no fuzz, static, anything.. Ive checked all wires and radio fuse

3. The interior lights (dome, mirror, footlight) fuse was unplugged, so i plugged it back in, but when i did, the Door Ajar light came on and lights never turned off even when doors were closed (trunk too) as well as the light switch for the interior lights being off.

4. The sunroof fuse in the engine fusebox is gone, but there is only one prong that a fuse would plug into, with one (positive+) wire going to the fuse receptor... no negative, I put a 30amp fuse from the power door locks into the space, and still nothing happens. does the fuse socket need to have a negative? or is it possible the sunroof motor or small ecu is fried?

after that, all i have to do is find the oil leak (probably pan gasket) and then find out why my car likes to have the coolant bubble in the catch tank and then spill all over the place.

thanks for any help or advice!

1. the wire leaving the fuse to the door locks more than likely has a bit of insulation missing and shorting to ground causing large amounts of current to go through the fuse and blow it because of the low ohm load in a copper wire :sneaky:

2. look under the passenger seat, i think all the 2g turbos have an amp their and run a dead head unit(as far as powering speakers goes)

3. check the switches for continuity(ohms) in the in and out positions its the little black rubber switches the one that has continuity both in and out needs replaced

4. maybe i misunderstood you, but it needs 2 spades in the fuse block for the fuse to do anything.

hope the antifreeze deal isn't a head gasket.

pm me if you need me to explain more because i will probly not check this thread again

Additional to above:

1) Connect a 12V light bulb in place of the fuse as an aid in finding the short. Start unplugging things in the circuit. When it goes out you know the short is beyond that point.

2) The black DIN cable often comes off the amp on the 2g's under the seat.

3) He means the switches that the doors push up against.

4) The one to the left of the power seats is for a convertable top (not sunroof). The sunroof has it's own 20A fuse in driver's kick panel (lower right).

Replace your rad. cap.
