ok, i just finished my 6bolt in a 2g swap and i cant get my fuel pump to energize by itself when key is on or in cranking mode, here is what i have come to...

everything is good, ive changed out relays/ecu's (had laying around my garage) and still there is something the ecu is not seeing to ground the fuel pump (white-red) ecu side of the coil, i can take a test light and back probe the ground side of the coil, and manually ground it out wich will kick on the fuel pump, but i can not figure out what the ecu isnt seeing that it needs to ground the coil in the fuel pump relay, i know all of the fuel pump wiring and components are good, its the ecu that isnt happy cause its not seeing something that makes it ground the fuel pump in cranking mode, please anyone help me, if they know what they are talking about that is, remember ive just put a 90 6 bolt in my 95 gsx that i got as a rolling chassie that hasnt had a motor in it for 4 years, only post if you know what your talking about please, THIS IS A CALL TO ALL YOU WHO CALL YOUR SELFS WISE MEN ;) HELP ME OUT BROTHERS

im preying to the dsm gods its the only thing i havent tried yet.....
thanks guys

Did you use a meter to check for a good ground on the coil side? Also are you getting voltage at the relay before the coil? I also tried my best to find a wiring diagram for the 95 or 90 elipse and had no luck, have you?

i know how to check wiring, i need to know why the ecu isnt grounding the coil, and yes i have plenty of wiring diagrams for any year car dsm or not, all data

Sounds like you might have a CAS issue.

Unlike the 1G the 2G ECU is the only thing that turns on the fuel pump. It needs to see that the engine is turning.

ok, but why would'nt my fuel pump turn on in the key on position for 2 seconds pre-crank of the motor, a friend told me that the only thing that controls the fuelpump is the ignition source, but i thought it was the ecu internaly grounding in a pull down circuit, any clarification wisemen :thumb: :dsm: thanks alot for the reply steve, feel free to keep goen on about how i can check my cas or anything else, im a mechanic but never messed with a 6bolt swap thanks man,
erik
