I got a turbo off Ivan . But thank you for the reply. If I'm not mistaken where you the one helping him tune his car,?

Yeah, we basically removed the SAFC and flashed a big maps rom. Then idle tuned it, took it for some pulls and felt good for the psi he was running. He will be back though to adjust some things and make it run better.

Viscous coupling eliminator

Thanks. Ill research this.

So to install the vce i have pull the tranny out? The other option is to weld differential?

If so, ill have to take the car to u joint on Rojas and see how they can help me out.

Or order the rebuilt kit and enjoy jafros vids.

I think you just need to pull the transfer case here are the instructions I found

Raise car, drain tranny fluid, remove 5 bolts holding transfer case, carefully pry transfer case from tranny and lower, remove wheel and wheel well plastics, remove 10-12 inspection cover bolts on the tranny and pull the clip ring off the viscous coupler (big black thingy when you pull the cover off). It should slide off, put VCE on in its place, replace clip, cover bolts and fluid.

The Viscous Coupler (VC) is internal to the transmission, located right next to the 5th gear set. If you lower the transmission you may be able to get that cover off, I've never attempted that. Welding the center diff isn't going to help as the power still has to be transferred through the VC.

Thanks for the info. I ordered the rebuilt kit instead. Hopefully it be ready by this weekend.

Thanks again.

Has anyone had to balance the driveshaft for your awd car? where can we do this here in El Paso? U-joints cant do it as our drive shaft is a three piece shaft and cant bolt on the carrier bearings to there balancer.

im just gonna install it as is, i marked it to reassemble it as it was. just wanted to double check it was balanced.

Hello guys. I need your help on deciding on what crank to use. One is an eagle 2.4 and the other is a knife edged oem 2.4 crank. Both 6 bolts.

I plan to daily and track the setup.

Can anyone pitch in on advice???

Thanks
