LOL i can assure you bro, my car is done right. its sponsored, has all the right parts. but i know it wont bring in what it has in it. believe me it is easier to part out. but i wont make that choice til im out of the hospital and healing. thu i hate for it to sit another year.:pray:

Is anyone here running a cut crank running over 400 hp? Im concerned if i should use mine just cut to .10 under.

I know its not recommendes becuase of the hardness loss and depends on how good the machinist is to not cut all the harden material.

Thanks for any help provided.
 
Anybody here have a fuel pump spacer with o ring that goes in between the fuel pump and the assembly? I removed my pump yesterday and it had 4 o rings in between the pump and the assembly. It seems everything they did to this car was half assed. Also its for a 98 gst

I have the whole gst fuel pump assembly a friend gave me a year ago.. You can pick and take what you need from it..
 
Aww man, i got my gsx fuel pump assembly today and it had a weird ass fuel pump installed and had a rubber hose installed instead of the cap and o ring.. I had to use the one from the Gst..

But i think you can pick one up off a parts store.. they should have them in stock shouldn't they?

The harness is different, had to use the one from the gst as well, and it seems to be a spongy cloth wrapped around it..

Gst hanger and gsx are not the same. You wont be able to get a tight seal around and the harness is different but it can be modified to fit.
 
The only thing i used from the gst hanger assembly was the fuel pump, oring, cap, and the tiny harness that connects to the stock fuel pump.. Not the harness from the top of the assembly, but the one which physically clips onto the fuel pump.
 
It's alright man I was able to get one from phantom. And no they don't sell it at the parts store. Mitsubishi will only sell em with the whole assembly.
 
Hey guys need a little help here. I posted on forums but no one helped out. Car is running really rough wont create any boost. I can only get to about 3k rpm this is in neutral and while on load. I have changed plugs(NGK) and wires. Plugs are gapped at .28, plugs that I took out are black so I know Im running rich. I also changed the fuel filter. I have not done a boost leak test I tried going to home depot and lowes and they didnt have 4'' pvc pipe cap to make it. I did go through all the ic piping and everything is nice and tight to include throttle body. I also fixed a small exhaust leak. I have a tune for it but I cant load it for some reason the obd2 wont connect. I checked all fuses and they are all good. What should be on my to do list next? I was thinking o2 sensor and injectors. Any help would be appriciated. Or if someone can donate some time and help me figure it out. Im not as mechanically inclined as most of you on here LOL My mod list is up to date as well. Thanks

Prior to all these issues car was running rich but still running good, I guess is the best way to say it.
 
How's timing? Could be a tooth off? How does a free rev do without boost? Does it go smoother over 3k RPM?

I havent checked the timing. I dont see how it could have jumped a tooth though. But Ill see if I can check it anyways to be sure. I asume its a fuel issue. When I rev its not smooth just sputters. While driving I cant get it over 3k its start jerking really bad... Dsm link has 2 step at 3.5k so cant rev past that in neutral. And sorry it does make very little boost not sure how much though since boost gauge reads in bar. Im guessing just a few pounds. Before this at full boost it would be like 1.15 bar which I think is around 17-18 psi.
 
It can be many things. Can you datalog the car? Do you have a wideband installed?

This two are important. When diagnosing and tuning.
Whats the mod list on the car? Have you checked compression on motor or leak down test? What part of town you live?

Cant log because I cant connect the dsm link. Has a narrow band, my mod list is on my profile. And I live in the NE.
