According to this thread (http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-electrical-wiring/229419-how-test-power-transistors.html) The pinout is the same between 1g and 2g.

That kinda covered it, but I was replacing a power transistor connector on the harness when I realized there were two wires the exact same colors. I found a electrical fsm a day or two later, problem solved. Hopefully I can get this knock sensor soldered in before the end of the week.

So get this, I get a text from a guy tryna sell me a 1998 Eclipse GST. It had 105,000 miles on it, and the only mod it had was a front mount intercooler. And I had asked him how much he wanted, and he told me he was looking to get at least 5k for it. I questioned that, and he had told me, what did I expect, for it to cost 3k-3500. And I had told him I could get a GSX for 5k, and he said good luck finding a GST for 3k-3500.

I don't know if I'm wrong, or he was just trying to make extra money!?

I think 3k is fair. I bought my gst for 5k but it was unmolested and had 53k original miles.

On that note....I'm on the look out for a good 2G Standard Clean Titled GST or GSX. Depending on the car for the deal though...I'm looking at 4k-5k. Depending ON DEAL OF COURSE!!

I'm sure you'll find it. Patience is all it takes. There is one in Baltimore for 2700 It comes with the 4gcs swap. Its the 2ga with sunroof looks good and has some good mods.

I think you should get a shell and built it your own way, you are asking to much with not enough. And I'm sure you wont find something the way you wanted, not here in El paso.

Think about it. Your budget is 5000. The cost is 2700 for a gsx stroked out. Lests say shipping is 1000 going on an extreme price, Thats 3700 bucks. You have1300 left over to fix any issues and still left over to mod it some more.
I really don't know how shipping works but I think that car is well worth it. If I would to sell my car, I'd buy that 4gcs dsm in a hard beat.
Contact the seller, ask him details on the engine. That's a nice rare engine for our cars. Ask him about shipping, I won't hurt. Depending on what internals that 4gcs has, its a. Hell of a purchase.

Building a car from scratch is time consuming and you spend a lot of cash on top of the car purchase. But if you can fork out the cash and time to mod it then its really your call.

Ask any Dsmer that has worked on their car. Time and money will give you a nice horsepowered reliable dsm.

I've spent over 6000 within 3 years.

I said in between(like 4k 4,200) IF its clean. Idk why I was think gsx though.

I saw a gsx for sale on craigslist for $3k has 55k miles but has bad tranny and salvage title. With your budget your could fix it and Im sure you can get the price lowered. I know you want something running good though.

I saw that Gst.. Its practically built already...Super cheap for what he wants for it. Junk yards are filled with tail lights..

I might put my stock 2g tsi awd 5 speed up.. Still putting her together.. Has everything it needs to run minus the half shaft. Just have some broken studs i have to extract that are holding me back.

Ya I went to go see it a few weeks ago. The guy selling it to me is cool dude and knows his dsms. Its clean inside and out. Ill probably be picking it up tomorrow. Soon as I get my refund check. Heres a list of what I remember 6bolt swap with 1g rods 2g pistons 5k miles. s259 turbo,dsmlink v2, huge fmic, has set of 5 gauges forgot what all they were for (a little overkill), act 2100,1000cc injectors,255 wally, greddy bov,bc 280/280 cams thats all I can think of right now. Its tuned right now at 18psi but that turbo has alot of room flows max of 62lbs/min. Feels like it may have around 300hp with current tune when we took it for a spin. Turbo is a lil laggy but it hits hard. Hits at around 4300 rpm. Once all maintenance is done. I wanna get it retuned hoping for 400-450hp. If you guys know of a good place to get this all done let me know thanks. Can't wait to get it. I miss the boost

And for those who know me on here personally I will be getting a scatter shield and fire extinguisher asap. Dont need a repeat again.
