Anyone have a set of lifters and rocker arms for a 7 bolt? I also need a 97 cam angle sensor housing. Ya'll are the closest group to me I could actually drive to. I'm sure a junk yard would I just hate trying to find one.

Hell yeah. Whatcha want for them? Maybe I can get this thing going and go for a cruise up there it's only like 2 1/2 hours away. This things been kicking my ass since I have no fellow dsmer help here. Lots of trial and error. Just barely noticed you're from anthony? Where is that?

Hey brother, i might have all that stuff too. I didnt realize there was any DSMers in carlsbad. Actually thinking of heading out there for work. Gst2012Gsx gots everything you need and im sure he will help you out as will any of the others cats on here, but if i do find work out there it will sure be nice to have a fellow DSMer round.

can someone with e85 experience or knowledge point me to the right direction to what line to get for my fuel tank to the fuel filter to run e85.

my 8an ss braided is to old already and leaking its not holding from the fitting ends. time to replace it. I just don't know if I should get the same type.

i read stock that its fine for e85 but my setup is already set for 8an to the fuel rail and back to the regulator.

I guess should I stay with the rubber ss braided line and how long will it last?

thanks for any feed back

I do have a question for you local cats..... I just was given a set of Evo 9 BREMBO brakes. Im wondering if anyone local has done the swap. Well actually, anyone done the swap NOT using the galant knuckles. My bro German did the swap with the knuckles but they were hard and expensive to source. Ive heard of someone cncing some brackets but no luck finding him. Just wondering if its worth it, or going a different route.

There is a guy selling those brackets on tuners that you need for the front brakes, ### the back should be direct swap.

someone in the classifieds is selling some brackets for 85 bucks.

I had a discussion with someone about this a while back. Basically we came to the conclusions that most people making a braided line know that there's the possibility that some percentage of people are going to run E85 for fuel and secondly if you look at how long this SS line has been used it's probably far less than what e85 would have gone through it in anyways. Personally I'm a fan of the russell proclassic AN line. But if you really want to go for broke you can get the PTFE line and assemble that but from what I can figure it's more expensive.

On another note, does anyone know someone who can TIG weld here? I got a battery tray that I'm making for my 1G and I'm not quite satisfied with how it turned out.

alright. thanks for the info. ill be going to the performance store today on Texas and cotton. lets see what they recommend on their ss line they have.

thanks.

I think gst2012gsx knows a shop by Anthony who may TIG weld. lets see if he replies.

I have a buddy with a low miliage Evo IX who is selling his front Brembos with rotors and EBC Red Stuff pads if anyone is interested. He swapped to a small brake kit to be able to clear 15" rims for gravel tires.

Yes the rear are a direct bolt on. Its the fronts that worry me. I understand even the lines are bolt on but i have some steel braided ones made.

Check the link I posted. Shows the small grinding on the caliper and the small amount on the knuckle. Minor clearances.

Nate, how much? I kind of want a full set, was thinking of grabbing the BMC at u pull while the motor was out for it in the future. Although I know on the 1g you loose your parking brake which is NOT good. Trying to figure the best way around that.

Mike wells tigs. David over at DM autoservices tigs. ( he is building my cage ). Both high pros, but cost is more economical with David.

This. I think there is a small little half circle that needs to taken off in order for it to fit flush OR to make room for the bolt. (on the caliper) Pretty simple, I want to do the swap on mine.

Thanks Chris, i saw this article, has a wealth of info.

I took it to car quest, the turn around was very slow, took a month, but the work is good. There was a block next to my head and he said it was from luna performance WTF!!

A month? Damn thats crazy...my guy's turn around time is like a day.

915dsm's block was done at carquest, it was done very nice but he takes his time. It took him like 2 months to overbore the cylinders and deck the block!!! Sometimes OK machine shop does my machining but now I take all my stuff to las cruces NM to hobbs head performance machine shop and he does an excellent job and his prices are good, he does take his time but not 2 months. Lol

I'll talk to him and find out. I'll text you once I know.

Got it, Ill hang out for a bit, Think I'll do my BMC while the motor is out for this later. I still have some slotted brembo rotors on the car that work nicely. Although I know the evo ones would take it to a whole 'nother level, I still need to figure out the best way to still have a parking brake.

Explain to me why u lose your parking bdake on a 1g

2g and Evo's use a drum style parking/hand brake. 1g is a cable on the caliper/ The Evo caliper doesn't have it. There was speculation of using a 92 3000GT trailing arm, but nothing was certain yet. Only one I saw he had both the stock caliper and the brembo (don't know how it was bolted up). The stock was only for the parking brake.

BTW anyone have an extra rod nut (stock 6 bolt) The machine shop miss placed one/ or it just disappeared. Need to dig through the spare parts bin in the shed. Didn't find one in my closet stash LOL.
